COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Guidance and Statement

We have been closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and, following advice from Public Health England, Assemblies of God and the Church of England among others, we are taking appropriate steps to ensure we keep our congregation, staff team, connect/fellowship groups, and meeting attendees as safe as possible.

General precautions now in place

We are closely monitoring updates from the Government in relation to our services and events. For example, we are considering changes to certain groups with a high number of older people because the elderly are identified as a high-risk group.

These are some of the steps our church is now taking to help prevent the spread of infection in Services and Events

We are doing all we can to provide hand washing facilities and hand sanitisation in our building, services and events.

Communion – Those preparing the elements and those serving will sterilise hands prior to distributing the bread and wine. Bread will be served cut into small pieces.

Food –  We are, as always, being vigilant in the preparation and handling of food.

Health – We are asking all staff and volunteers, who are feeling unwell, to stay away from serving until fully recovered. If you feel unwell and develop a fever, please stay away from the church and call 111 for advice.

To help prevent the spread of infection, please follow general best practice as outlined by Public Health England

Travel advice – If you have recently returned from abroad, or are planning travel, please ensure that you are following all Foreign & Commonwealth Office advice.
