Prayer for Today – 06/04/20

Hi Church.

One of the greatest Bible stories I love reading over and over, is about Obededom, in 2 Samuel chapter 6 verse 11 & 12

2 Samuel 6:11-12 King James Version (KJV)
11 And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household. 12 And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

In this season of isolation, many of us now have more time to seek His presence and hear His voice. As believers we should use this to our advantage and ask Jesus to fill our homes with His presence. Those of you on the front line, may take this time to pray for His presence to enter your work place.

The government keeps mentioning 3 months of isolation!   Meanwhile, when we read the story of the ark of the covenant representing God’s presence, which was put as a temporary measure, institute in Odededom’s house (2 Sam 6 v 11 & 12) during that time, God blessed him and his household.  We too, can  anticipate extraordinary things happening, if we seek His face.

“And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months and the Lord blessed Obededom, and his household. And it was told King David.

The ark of God represents the presence of God. Three months of staying under and around God’s presence continually was enough to transform the entire household of Obededom. So great was this transformation that the news of it reached King David, who decided he needed what Obededom had! So, ordered the ark to his corner.

Pray with me

Dear Father,We pray, in this holy week, we will  seek your presence to enter in our homes and work place. We pray for an atmosphere of godliness to birth extraordinary things beyond what we can possibly imagine. Grant us your grace in this season of desperation.  Amen.
